On June 30, 2024, Malice, a 4 year old Belgian Malinois K-9
Deputy, collapsed while assisting another agency tracking a
burglary suspect. Malice was taken to MedVet on Government
Boulevard but later passed away. Malice was a dual purpose K-9
and recently completed a week long competition at the National
Police K-9 Association.
During his service with The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, Malice
had 5 apprehensions, seized 10 pounds of meth and over 12
pounds of marijuana. Malice also did community events with the
Drug Education Council of Mobile.
Malice’s handler and partner, Deputy Jantzen Ward stated,
“Malice was not only a loyal partner, he was a trusted and loved
member of my family. He will be missed and never forgotten.”
A special “Thank you” to everyone with MedVet Mobile in taking
such great care of Malice.
